Software Requirements
• HP-UX 11.0 operating system
The multicast feature of the EISA Token Ring product depends on DLPI patch PHNE_25395;
however, the product is installable and functions without this patch.
Hardware Requirements
• D-Class/R-Class servers and the B, C, and J-Class and series 700 workstations with an
EISA backplane
• CD-ROM drive
Memory and Disk Space Requirements
• 16 MB memory
• 500 KB free disk space
Install/Upgrade With System Up or Down
• Install the EISA Token Ring card with the system down.
• One reboot is required for installation and configuration.
Installing and Upgrading EISA Token Ring
The EISA Token Ring card is customer-installable and configurable on D-Class/R-Class
servers and B, C, and J-Class and Series 700 workstations with an EISA back plane.
