System Firmware Requirements
The following minimum firmware requirements exist for systems
cold-installing and updating to HP-UX 11i v2 (B.11.23)
September 2004.
• For HP 9000 PA-RISC Servers, you must update to the
minimum firmware revision before cold-installing or
updating from HP-UX 11i v1 (B.11.11) to the HP-UX 11i v2
(B.11.23) September 2004 release or later.
• For HP Integrity Servers and HP Workstations, Itanium-
based systems, the firmware shipped with the system meets
the minimum firmware requirement for the system for HP-
UX 11i v2 (B.11.23) September 2004 release.
