Supported user interfaces

Most of the HP-UX single-system management plug-ins support the following user interfaces:

• Enhanced CLI: Most HP SMH plug-ins have CLIs, which include the following features:

– Efficiency—It wraps complicated command sequences into a single command.

– Fast and light weight.

– Built-in error checking intelligence.

– Ability to script

– High quality man pages.

– Available regardless of system state.

– Accessibility through a serial console, secure web console, or remote terminal login.

– Features that were previously available only in the GUI—For example, kctune(1M) checks the

range of kernel parameters, and online card replacement is now available in olrad(1M).

For example, Figure 3 displays the CLI of the Kernel Configuration tool.
