Peripheral Devices Configuration tool
Overview
The Peripheral Devices Configuration tool (pdweb) is an easy-to-use, powerful peripheral device
management solution that offers a web-enabled GUI. This tool enables system administrators to view
all devices on a host system and configure the PCI/OLRAD slots for that system. Further, the GUI
guides system administrators through the entire process of PCI addition/replacement. The Peripheral
Device tool operates only in a single-system environment.
The Peripheral Device tool can be launched from a web browser, the HP System Administration
Manager (SAM) tool, or the HP SMH 3.0 or later. Additionally, pdweb functionality can be accessed
directly by the Partition Manager tool, thereby providing a link between two tools for your
convenience.
This tool can also be launched by running the pdweb(1M) command at the HP-UX command line
prompt.
