Features
The Accounts for Users and Groups tool enables you to:
• Configure local user accounts: You can add, modify, and delete user accounts on the local HP-UX
system. You can also modify password, security attributes, and secondary group information of the
local users.
• Configure groups: You can add, modify, and delete groups on the local HP-UX system and NIS
system. You can also update NIS maps of groups.
• Configure NIS users: You can add, modify, and delete user accounts on an NIS system. You can
also modify password, security attributes, and secondary group information of NIS users.
• Configure user templates: You can add, modify, and delete user templates. You can also apply user
templates while creating user accounts and discard active user templates.
• Use the Security Attributes Configuration tool: You can configure security attributes of users and
groups using the Accounts for Users and Groups tool because it is integrated with the Security
Attributes Configuration tool.
Disks and File Systems tool
Overview
The Disks and File Systems tool (fsweb) is used to configure and manage disks, file systems, and LVM
on an HP-UX system. You can launch this tool from HP SIM and HP SMH applications. You cannot
start this tool from the command line.
