Mozilla is an open source Web and e-mail applications suite and since 2004 it is the only
supported browser on HP-UX.
The Firefox browser sets a new standard for Internet browsing by providing an easier
and more personal way to use the Internet.
The Thunderbird email application provides convenient, customizable, rich-featured
email access.
Firefox/Thunderbird uses the new open-source windowing toolkit Gnome 2.6 GTK+
libraries for HP-UX on HP PA-RISC and HP Integrity, and it must be installed before
installing Firefox/Thunderbird.

Summary of Change
Mozilla version 1.7.12.01.x for HP-UX provides online browsing, searching, and e-mail
tools for HP-UX 11i on HP Integrity and HP9000 PA-RISC systems. It also continues to
include Navigator, Messenger, Composer, Mail and Newsgroup, Address book
components, and IR Chat.
The Firefox browser version 1.5.x sets a new standard for Internet browsing by
providing an easier and more personal way to use the Internet. Firefox has a friendly,
easy-to-navigate interface that includes tabbed browsing, Live Bookmarks, and a
built-in search bar. New security features help to block unwanted or dangerous Web
content such as viruses, spyware, and popup ads. Faster performance means that you
can more quickly get the Web content you need during a browsing session.
The Thunderbird email application version 1.5.0.00 provides convenient, customizable,
rich-featured email access. Junk mail filters, anti-phishing protection, and advanced
security help to manage email more safely.
