Obsolescence
The sam (1M) command has been deprecated and is planned for future obsolescence. The
following functional areas in SAM are obsolete:
• Backup and Recovery
• Terminals and Modems
• Uninterrupted Power Supplies
• Run SAM on Remote Systems
• Performance Monitors
• Tape Drives
•Instruments
• Process Management
•Routine Tasks
Update-UX
The update-ux command updates the HP-UX operating system to a newer version.
Summary of Change
Update-Ux has been updated to incorporate defect fixes. There are no new features or
functionality in update-ux.

There is no impact.

There are no known compatibility issues.
Performance
There are no known performance issues.
