Ignite-UX
The Ignite-UX product is an HP-UX administration toolset that helps you do the
following:
• install HP-UX 11.0 and 11i v1 (B.11.11) and v2 (B.11.23) on multiple PA-RISC and/or
Intel Itanium-based clients on your network;
• create custom installation configurations, or golden images, for use in multiple
installations on clients;
• recover HP-UX clients remotely;
• create custom recovery media including tape, CD, and DVD;
• manage and monitor multiple client installation sessions.
Summary of Change
Ignite-UX version C.6.9.x delivers the following new functionality:
• Supports system recovery and system cloning of systems using VxFS 5.0 and VxVM
5.0. Cold install of systems with VxFS 5.0 and VxVM 5.0 is not supported.
• Beginning in Ignite-UX version C.6.9.x, the install kernels on B.11.23 are
compressed.
• Supports new hardware enabled by the HP-UX release.

Impact
There are no impacts other than those described previously.
Compatibility
Ignite-UX does not support configurations that include more than one version of VxVM
in the same image. Please make sure that your installation and recovery images contain
only one version of the VxVM product.
