Option 2: Installing HP-UX Applications Using
Ignite-UX
You can install the Ignite-UX utilities to install HP-UX and applications
on other systems as follows:
Step 1. Mount the HP-UX 11i v2 DVD containing Ignite-UX and enter the
command:
/usr/sbin/swinstall -s /cdrom B5725AA
The mount point in the example is /
cdrom
.
Step 2. After installing the software, refer to the Ignite-UX release notes and
Ignite-UX Administration Guide to complete any post-install steps and
configuration.
After running an Ignite-UX install session, you have a working HP-UX
client system.
Refer to the Ignite-UX Administration Guide for detailed instructions on
how to install HP-UX applications. It is on the Instant Information DVD
and at the HP Technical Documentation Web site:
