Step 7. Copy all products on the mounted DVD to the target depot, for example
to /update/update-depot:
swcopy -s /dvdrom \* @ /update/update-depot
Step 8. Unmount the DVD from its directory:
umount /dvdrom
The network depot is now ready to update your system to HP-UX 11i v2.

Task 2: Installing the Latest Update-UX Bundle
(Required)
IMPORTANT Prior to updating your system, you must install a supported version of
the update-ux command.
• If you are updating from an HP-UX 11i v1 system, you must have the
June 2004 version of the Update-UX bundle (release string:
B.11.11.0406) or higher installed on your system.
• If you are updating from an HP-UX 11i v1.6 or HP-UX 11i v2 system,
you must have the September 2004 version of the Update-UX bundle
(release string: B.11.23.0409) or higher installed on your system.
To determine if you have installed a supported version of the Update-UX
bundle, enter the following command:
/usr/sbin/swlist -l product -s
source_depot_path
Update-UX
The output of the command returns the following data in the revision
string:
• The operating system that the update-ux command is intended to
run on.
• The release date.
For example, the revision string of B.11.23.0409 indicates that
Update-UX was bundled for HP-UX 11i v2 (B.11.230409), which is the
September 2004 release.
