Updating to HP-UX 11i v2
Before You Begin

CAUTION Requirement for Updating from HP-UX 11i v 1.6 (B.11.22)
If you are updating from HP-UX 11i v 1.6 (B.11.22), you must install the
August 2004 version of BUNDLE11i (revision tag, B.11.22.0408.1)
for
HP-UX 11i v1.6 on your system prior to updating to the HP-UX 11i v2
September 2004 or later release. If the August 2004 version of
BUNDLE11i is not installed on your system prior to update, the update
script will not execute and you will get a mk_kernel error. If you have a
support contract with HP, you should have already received this patch
bundle. Request the patch PHKL_31152 from the IT Resource Center web
site; it will provide you with all seven required patches:

(B.11.23)
If you are updating from earlier releases of HP-UX 11i v2 (B.11.23), you
must install the August 2004 version of BUNDLE11i (revision tag,
B.11.23.0408.1) for HP-UX 11i v2 on your system prior to updating to the
HP-UX 11i v2 September 2004 or later release. If the August 2004
version of BUNDLE11i is not installed on your system prior to update, the
update script will not execute and you will get a mk_kernel error. If you
have a support contract with HP, you should have already received this
patch bundle. Request the patch PHKL_31151 from the IT Resource
Center web site; it will provide you with all seven required patches:
