2. If BUNDLE11i installs successfully, you are done. If you encounter a
link failure, use the following swinstall command to attempt to
load the bundle.
swinstall -s /dvd_mount_point/BUNDLE11i -x \
autoreboot=true -x reinstall=true BUNDLE11i
The swinstall command in step 2 can be repeated if a link failure
continues to occur, until the installation is successful.
The August 2004 version of BUNDLE11i:
• MUST be installed prior to updating from a version of HP-UX 11i v2
released prior to September 2004 or from HP-UX 11i v1.6 to HP-UX
11i v2 September 2004 or later.
• Is recommended for installation on any Itanium-based system
running HP-UX 11i v1.6 or a version HP-UX 11i v2 released prior to
September 2004, even if an update to HP-UX 11i v2 September 2004
or later is not being performed, as it fixes a defect that may prevent
future kernel patches from installing correctly.
