Impact
The AVIO lan driver will support the following Ethernet drivers: ixgbe (10GbE), igelan (1GbE),
and iether (1GbE).

Selectable Networking Drivers
This release includes changes to the following selectable networking drivers. “Selectable” means
that the drivers are not automatically installed, but can be selected during installation.

card technology you are interested in, then scroll down to the Support Matrixes heading. If a

10GigEthr-00 (10 Gigabit Ethernet)
The 10GigEthr-00 bundle supplies the ixgbe driver.
Summary of Change
In December 2007, HP-UX 11i v2 updates the 10GigEther-00 bundle to:
• support a new PCI-X 266Mhz 10 Gigabit Ethernet network card AD385A.
• support Accelerated Virtual I/O (AVIO) to significantly improve HP Integrity Virtual
Machines (HPVM) I/O performance.
