Summary of Change
In December 2007, HP-UX 11i v2 updates the GigEther-01 bundle to:
• support Accelerated Virtual I/O (AVIO) to significantly improve HP Integrity Virtual
Machines (HPVM) I/O performance.
Impact
The AVIO lan driver will support the following Ethernet drivers: ixgbe (10GbE), igelan (1GbE),
and iether (1GbE).

Performance

IEther-00 (Gigabit Ethernet Networking Driver Bundle)
The IEther-00 bundle delivers the iether driver which supports selected Gigabit Networking
Cards.
Summary of Change
In December 2007, HP-UX 11i v2 updates the IEther-00 bundle to:
• support Accelerated Virtual I/O (AVIO) to significantly improve HP Integrity Virtual
Machines (HPVM) I/O performance.
• support PCIe 4-Port Gigabit Ethernet Mezzanine Card (product #: 447883-B21) on HP Integrity
BladeSystem c3000 and c7000 enclosures and BL870c Server Blade.
The support for this card is already pre-enabled in September 2007 Operating Environments
Update Release (OEUR), but this hardware enablement release adds boot support and Virtual
Connect support.
