USB-00 (Universal Serial Bus)
The USB-00 product, version C.01.02.01, supports HP USB keyboards and mice. It
enables DVD boot support for the HP BladeSystems Itanium BL60p server.
Summary of Change
Summary USB-00, version C.01.02.01, includes quality improvements from the initial
release, C.01.00.00.
NOTE The installation of this driver bundle requires the patch PHKL_33581: USB DVD Boot,
EFI Device Path, HW Enablement. This patch is delivered in the FEATURE11i and
HWEnable11i patch bundles and is automatically selected when updating an existing
system with this mass-storage driver.
Impact
There is no customer impact.
Compatibility
This USB product will not be compatible with any application that accesses human
interface devices (HID) through the legacy HID device special files in /dev/hid. The
device special files for USB-00 are located in /dev/deviceFileSystem. Mouse and
keyboard device files are accessible through the device files
/dev/deviceFileSystem/mouseMux and /dev/deviceFileSystem/keyboardMux,
respectively. To revert to the previous USB driver, swremove USB-00.
Performance
There is no performance impact.
