SDK/RTE versions 1.3 and 1.4 have been updated to incorporate defect fixes. JRE/JDK
5.0 is new with the December 2005 release of HP-UX 11i v2.

Obsolescence
SDK/RTE 1.2 is obsolete and is removed by ObsJava12 (Obsolescence for Java 1.2) upon
installation of the HP-UX 11i v2 Operating Environments.
Java Out-of-Box
Java Out-of-Box (JAVAOOB) is a stand-alone bundle that, upon installation, will install
startup (RC) scripts, modify kernel parameters, rebuild the kernel, and reboot the
system. During startup, the startup scripts will modify system tunables, thus providing
better “Out of The Box” behavior for Java.
