HP-UX WBEM LAN Provider for Ethernet Interfaces
HP-UX WBEM LAN Provider for Ethernet Interfaces (WBEMP-LAN-00) is a Common
Information Model (CIM) Provider for Ethernet-based LAN technologies on the HP-UX
11i v2 operating system. Client applications can use the LAN Provider to determine
Ethernet LAN links available on the system and collect information about them.
The LAN Provider uses CIM Schema v2.7 and supports the following classes:
• HPUX_EthernetPort subclassed from CIM_EthernetPort
• HPUX_EthernetLANEndpoint subclassed from CIM_LANEndpoint
• HPUX_EthernetPortImplementsLANEndpoint subclassed from
CIM_PortImplementsEndpoint
Summary of Change
This release supports the following new features and functionality:
• 10GigE speed support
• New property support for the following:
— CIM_LogicalPort.MaxSpeed
— CIM_NetworkPort.FullDuplex
— CIM_NetworkPort.SupportedMaximumTransmissionUnit
— CIM_NetworkPort.ActiveMaximumTransmissionUnit
Impact
You can use WBEM-based clients, such as HP Systems Insight Manager,

LAN Provider and collect information about the Ethernet links on your system.
