Quality Pack Patch Bundles
The Quality Pack (QPK) consists of two patch bundles: the Base Quality
Pack bundle and the Applications Quality Pack bundle. The Base Quality
Pack bundle includes all stable, defect-fix patches for the Core OS, graphics,
and key networking drivers. The Applications Quality Pack bundle includes
all stable, defect-fix patches for HP-UX Operating Environment (OE)
applications.
The Quality Pack Patch Bundles for HP-UX 11i v2 (B.11.23) are updated in
the December 2008 Support Pack release.
QPK bundle readme files and patch text files are available in text and HTML
formats with hyperlinks to patch text files. The bundle readme files and
patch text files are located under the /cdrom/DOCS/QPK directory.
Installing QPK Patch Bundles from the Support Pack DVD
After mounting the Support Pack DVD (see “Mounting the Support Pack
DVD” (page 9)), execute the following command line to install the QPK
bundles from the media. These swinstall options will reboot the system
after installation of applicable QPK patches. Note that the depot under the
/cdrom directory includes the QPKBASE and QPKAPPS bundles with patches
that match the OE on the target system.
# swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x \
-x patch_match_target=true -s /cdrom
