Errors When Attempting to Cold Install or
Down-rev to Another OE Release of HP-UX that was
Released Prior to December 2007
After installing or updating to the HP-UX 11i v2
December 2007 OE, please note there may be issues if you
attempt to cold install or down-rev to another OE release
of HP-UX that was released earlier in time (earlier than
December 2007). This problem affects only platforms with
SerialSCSI-00 as core IO.
For example, trying to cold install or down-rev from
HP-UX 11i v2 December 2007 OE release to the HP-UX
11i v2 June 2007 OE release may cause system
incompatibilities and unpredictable results.
