OE Media Install Tool and
Network Depot Must
Match
The Ignite-UX install tool on the OE media supports the
use of network depots. However, network depots must
match the media depots for the choices in the install tool to
work properly.
The Ignite-UX documentation also explains the setup and
use of network depots without using the OE media for each
installation. Go to the following web site for information on
the Ignite-UX product:

HP Does Not Recommend
Combining Root ("/") and
Boot ("/stand") Directories
When creating a custom file system configuration that
utilizes volume management, having the root ("/") and boot
("/stand") directories on the same partition is not
recommended. Default configurations have root and boot
directories in separate partitions when volume
management is active.
What To Do
The preferred approach is to use the default file system
configuration when installing HP-UX. If you chose to create
a custom file system configuration utilizing volume
management, make sure that root and boot directories are
on separate partitions.
OnlineDiag and
SysFaultMgmt Bundles
need to be Loaded
If you remove or do not install the OnlineDiag or the
SysFaultMgmt bundle, some products with dependencies on
these bundles do not function correctly.
