Known Install and Update Problems
Appendix A146
Older Version of
Availability Product May
Initiate a Core Dump
When updating to the HP-UX 11i v2 December 2007
release, it is possible that an older version of the
Availability product (bundled with ISEEPlatform) may
initiate a call to the file MC3/hpssidgen, which then
initiates a core dump. The core dump does not affect the
update or installation process; but a core file might be left
in / .
What To Do
Verify the core file was initiated from hpssidgen by running
the following command: file core
The response should display:
core file from 'hpssidgen' - received SIGSYS
If you receive the response above, delete the core file by
running the following command: rm core
sapmap File Not Included
in T2803BA Bundle
The sapmap file is not included in the T2803BA bundle,
which impacts the functionality of the WLM/SAP toolkit.
The sapmap file was not found in either of the following
locations:
/opt/cmcluster/sap/contrib/wlm
/opt/cmcluster/sap/bin
The WLM/SAP toolkit cannot map different SAP instance
processes to the appropriate workload groups due to the
missing map file, which is created by sapmap.
What To Do
Install patch PHSS_34637 available at the HP IT Resource
Center: http://itrc.hp.com.
