Patch Bundle Required for Updating from
Previous Release of HP-UX 11i v2
You do not need to load the August 2004 version of BUNDLE11i if you are:
• Cold-installing HP-UX 11i v2 September 2004 or a later version.
• Updating from the September 2004 or later version of HP-UX 11i v2
to the HP-UX 11i v2 May 2005 or a later version.
• Updating from HP-UX 11i v1 (B.11.11) to HP-UX 11i v2 September
2004 or a later version.
If you are updating a system from HP-UX 11i v2 released prior to
September 2004 to HP-UX 11i v2 September 2004 or later, you must
load the August 2004 version of BUNDLE11i.
You can load the August version of BUNDLE11i from the DVD that was
sent to all customers on support, or you can obtain it from the IT
Resource Center (ITRC) as follows:
1. Go to the ITRC Web site: http://itrc.hp.com
2. If you are not registered at the ITRC, select register now!
3. Select maintenance and support (hp products), and then select
standard patch bundles - find patch bundles.
4. Select HP-UX patch bundles, and then select Aug ‘04.
5. Select the HP-UX 11i v2 version of BUNDLE11i.
6. Select add to selected patch list.
7. Select download selected. Follow the instructions to download the
August 2004 version of BUNDLE11i to your system.
