Task 1: Determining Whether the HP Service Partition Exists
Use the following procedure to determine whether an HP Service
Partition already exists on your system.
Step 1. As root, find the location of your root disk:
• If you are using LVM, enter the following command:
lvlnboot -v
Results similar to the following are displayed:
# lvlnboot -v
Boot Definitions for Volume Group /dev/vg00:
Physical Volumes belonging in Root Volume Group:
/dev/dsk/c2t1d0s2 (0/1/1/0.1.0) -- Boot Disk
Boot: lvol1 on: /dev/dsk/c2t1d0s2
Root: lvol3 on: /dev/dsk/c2t1d0s2
Swap: lvol2 on: /dev/dsk/c2t1d0s2
Dump: lvol2 on: /dev/dsk/c2t1d0s2, 0
• If you are using VxVM, enter the following command:
vxprint -d
Output similar to the following is displayed:
