8. Redistribute the application failover packages over ALL of the active cluster nodes (Group
A and Group B nodes).
9. Optional steps must be performed on the CVM master/CFS primary nodes to upgrade to
the new CVM and CFS protocol/layout versions (refer to the VxVM and VxFS Administrators
Guides for details):
• vxdctl upgrade to upgrade CVM protocol version
• vxdg upgrade <diskgroup> to upgrade disk group version
• vxupgrade <mountpoint> to upgrade to new file system layout version
Other Supported Bundle Change and Installation Scenarios
• Installing HP Serviceguard Extension for RAC on top of Storage Management Suite bundle
T2776CA is supported.
Unsupported Bundle Change and Installation Scenarios
• Installing Storage Management Suite on top of HP Serviceguard Extension for RAC is not
supported.
If you have the two as separate products, install the Storage Management Suite bundle
T2776CA first, then install HP Serviceguard Extension for RAC.

HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite Compatibility with HP-UX Releases
There are two different HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite Version A.02.01 releases,
one for HP-UX 11iv2 and one for HP-UX 11i v3:
• HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite Version A.02.01 bundles designated “TxxxxCA”
are compatible with HP-UX 11i v2
• HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite Version A.02.01 bundles designated “TxxxxCB”
are compatible with HP-UX 11i v3
NOTE: HP-UX 11iv2 is supported with up to 64k lunpaths, however, Veritas™ products included
in the SG SMS Version A.02.01 bundles limit SG SMS lunpath support to a maximum of 32k
lunpaths on HP-UX 11i v2.
System Requirements
HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite bundles run on HP 9000 or HP Integrity Servers.
Using both types of servers in the same cluster is supported.
Disk Requirements
Installation of any HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite bundle requires a minimum of
550 MB of disk space in the root file system.
Before Installing HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite Version A.02.01
Before installing an HP Serviceguard Storage Management Suite bundle, consult with your HP
representative to make sure that the cluster has the correct hardware upgrades and supported
