This section includes information on known problems and limitations in TOUR 3.1 and its
components.
Known Problem and Workaround
This section describes a known problem and the recommended workaround in TOUR 3.1
Problem
After installing TOUR 3.1 on HP-UX 11i v1, the following error message is displayed in
dmesg:
hp_dlpi_wput:Received an unrecognized primitive: 1021
hp_dlpi_wput:Received an unrecognized primitive: 1021
hp_dlpi_wput:Received an unrecognized primitive: 1021
This message is displayed if the DLPI patch PHNE_32396 (or later) is not installed on the
system. The superseding DLPI patch PHNE_33704 is listed as a dependency for fulfilling the
NOSYNC performance benefits. However, it is not required to install TOUR 3.1.
Workaround
Install the DLPI patch PHNE_33704 (or later). If you choose not to install the DLPI patch
PHNE_33704, install the previous DLPI patch PHNE_32396 or ignore this message.
Problem
After installing TOUR 3.1, applications can fail to compile with /usr/include/sys/mib.h if
compiling in ANSI C mode -Ae.
Workaround
Compile applications in extended ANSI C mode -Ae.
Problem
Dead Gateway Detection on TOUR 3.1 for HP-UX 11i v1 may cause a delay up to three
minutes. This delay occurs when /sbin/init.d/net start is executed to prepare the
gateway for use.
