Installing TOUR 3.1

• DLPI patch PHNE_33704 (or later)

• HP-UX IPFilter A.03.05.12 (if IPFilter is used)

Combining the Software Dependencies

IMPORTANT The STREAMS patch PHNE_33313 (or later) MUST be combined and installed

with TOUR 3.1 except while upgrading from TOUR 3.0

Do not combine any STREAMS or ARPA Transport patch while upgrading from

TOUR 3.0. The STREAMS or ARPA Transport patches will exclude themselves

from the TOUR 3.1 installation and display error messages.

You can combine the other software dependencies in order to minimize the number of reboots

and avoid any dependency related issues.

IMPORTANT Before downloading patches from the ITRC, "uncheck" the "cumulative ARPA

Transport patch". Or, exclude the "cumulative ARPA Transport patch" from the

patch manifest list before creating the combined depot.

Step 1. Download the required patches from the HP IT Resource Center Web site at

http://www2.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/mainPage.do.

Step 2. Combine the required patches using the create_depot_hp-ux_11 script on the

ITRC.

Step 3. Copy TOUR into the combined depot using:

swcopy -x enforce_dependencies=false

Run the swinstall command

HP-UX IPv6 and HP-UX Mobile IPv6 A.01.00 are optional. IF you do not want to install these

products, deselect them in an interactive swinstall session. Else, install the bundle as

follows:

swinstall -x autoreboot=true -s /tmp/TOUR.depot TOUR

The target selection specified in the swinstall command is “TOUR”. The TOUR 3.1 product

bundle name is “TOUR.” The product bundle version reflects the version change to 3.1.

The system reboots automatically if the swinstall execution completes without errors.
