Installing TOUR 3.1

Upgrading to TOUR 3.1 from Previous TOUR Releases on HP-UX 11i

This section contains information on upgrading to TOUR 3.1 on HP-UX 11i v1. Upgrading to

TOUR 3.1 will change the Transport and STREAMS cumulative patch equivalency levels on

the HP-UX 11i v1 system. See the note in “Installing TOUR 3.1 on HP-UX 11i v1” on page 10

for details on the patch equivalency levels.

IMPORTANT If TOUR 3.0 and the NOSYNC Software dependencies are already installed on

your HP-UX 11i v1 system, do not install any other patches or dependencies.

Install only TOUR 3.1.

Table 1, “Software Dependencies,” lists the pre-requisite patches required for upgrading to

TOUR 3.1 from previous TOUR releases.

NOSYNC Software Dependencies

You can upgrade to TOUR 3.1 without fulfilling the NOSYNC software dependencies.

However, the NOSYNC performance improvement will not be realized unless the following

NOSYNC software dependencies are fulfilled:
