Transport Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR) 3.1 Release Notes Announcement Announcement Functionalities for Transport and STREAMS are delivered as part of the HP-UX operating system. Transport Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR) 3.1 is an additional Web release supported by HP-UX. TOUR 3.1 delivers Transport and STREAMS functionality independently of major HP-UX releases. TOUR 3.1 provides a number of Transport enhancements that contribute to the overall performance and scalability of networking with HP-UX.

The TOUR 3.1 product bundle name is “TOUR.” The product bundle version reflects the version change to 3.1. The system reboots automatically if the swinstall execution completes without errors.

Upgrading to TOUR 3.1 will change the Transport and STREAMS cumulative patch equivalency levels on the HP-UX 11i v1 system. Removing TOUR 3.1 will not roll back your system to a previous version of TOUR, if one had been installed.
