Installing TOUR 3.0

Installing TOUR 3.0 on HP-UX 11i v1

WARNING Do not install TOUR 3.0 on an HP-UX 11i v1 system running X25, OTS,

or ATM networking stacks. Refer to “Limitation” on page 21 for more

details.

Software Dependencies

• June 2005 Quality Pack, GOLDQPK11i B.11.11.0506.4 (or later)

• STREAMS patch PHNE_33313 (or later)

NOSYNC Software Dependencies

TOUR 3.0 can be installed without fulfilling the NOSYNC software dependencies. However,

the NOSYNC performance improvement will not be realized unless the following NOSYNC

software dependencies are fulfilled:

• DLPI patch PHNE_33704 (or later)

• HP-UX IPFilter A.03.05.12 (if IPFilter is used)

You can download the required patches from the HP IT Resource Center Web site at

http://www2.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/mainPage.do.

Run the swinstall command

swinstall -x autoreboot=true -s /tmp/TOUR.depot TOUR

The target selection specified in the swinstall command is “TOUR”. The TOUR 3.0 product

bundle name is “TOUR.” The product bundle version reflects the version change to 3.0.

NOTE HP-UX IPv6 and HP-UX Mobile IPv6 A.01.00 are optional and can be

deselected using an interactive swinstall session.

The system reboots automatically if the swinstall execution completes without errors.
