Transport Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR) 2.5 Release Notes

What Is in This Version

TOUR 2.5 includes the following:

• New Patch Installation Check

• TOUR 2.4 Features and Functionality

New Patch Installation Check

In the previous TOUR 2.4 release, the system would panic if the STREAMS patch

PHNE_31091 (or later) was installed. TOUR 2.5 includes a check to ensure that the

STREAMS patch PHNE_31091 (or later) is not installed on the system.

The following error message is displayed if TOUR 2.5 is installed on a system with a

STREAMS patch PHNE_31091 or later:

ERROR: The patch PHNE_

nnnnn

is already installed. The Transport Optional

Upgrade Release (TOUR) cannot be installed because installing it would corrupt

the patch. If you must install TOUR A.02.05, then first remove the patch

PHNE_

nnnnn

Remove the specified STREAMS patch before installing TOUR 2.5.

NOTE TOUR 2.5 does not include the fixes contained in the STREAMS patch

PHNE_31091. PHNE_31091 is not compatible with TOUR 2.5. The fixes

contained in PHNE_31091 will be available with future TOUR releases.

TOUR 2.5 has the same features and functionality as TOUR 2.4.

TOUR 2.4 Features and Functionality

TOUR 2.4 contains the following:

• Default Gateway for each Physical IPv4 Interface

• PPP Enhancements (PPPoE and PPPv6)

• HP-UX Mobile IPv6 A.01.00
