Transport Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR) 2.4 Release Notes

System Requirements

• PHNE_27796 (or later) – libnss_dns DNS backend patch

• PHNE_28895 (or later) – Cumulative ARPA Transport patch

NOTE After TOUR 2.4 is installed, the Transport Cumulative patch level is

equivalent to the PHNE_31247 patch, with some additional fixes listed in

“Patches and Fixes in This Version” on page 19. This is because the modules

included in the regular ARPA/Transport patch are replaced by the modules

included in TOUR.

• PHKL_29696 (or later) – Needed for STREAMS Patch.

• PHCO_29287 (or later) – libc cumulative patch.

• PHCO_29328 (or later) – libc manpage cumulative patch.

• PHNE_30450 (or later) – nettl patch (recommended, but not required for install).

• PHNE_30367 – STREAMS patch.

IMPORTANT Ensure that the following patches are NOT installed on your system:

• PHNE_33159 – Transport patch.

• PHNE_31091 – STREAMS patch.

If these patches have already been installed, remove them before proceeding

with the TOUR 2.4 installation. After removing these patches, review the

Prerequisite Software Patches section to ensure that the minimum patch

requirements have been satisfied.

You can retrieve patches from http://www.itrc.hp.com. Future versions of Support Plus

(Quality Pack) (GOLDQPK11i) may include some of these patches. In this case, you need not

have to retrieve the patches individually.
