Transport Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR) 2.2 Release Notes

What Is in This Version

TOUR 2.2 includes the following components:

• HP-UX Transport Enhancement (IPv4 and IPv6)

• HP-UX Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) enhancements (PPPoE and PPPv6)

• HP-UX Mobile IPv6 A.01.00

The TOUR 2.0 functionality is automatically included in TOUR 2.2 except where superseded

by TOUR 2.2 functional differences.

HP-UX Transport Enhancement (IPv4 and IPv6)

This section provides a summary of the HP-UX transport enhancement available with TOUR

2.2 on the HP-UX 11i v1 operating system.

NOTE On HP-UX 11i v1, the HP-UX transport software included with the operating

system does not include any IPv6 functionality. All the IPv6 functionality is

delivered as part of TOUR 2.2.

Deselect Option Available for the IPv6 Product (IPV6AA)

Starting with TOUR 2.2, the IPv6 product, IPV6AA, is an optional item during the interactive

swinstall session. You may wish to deselect the IPv6 product during installation. If you

deselect the IPV6AA option, only the IPv4 functionality is installed on the system.

The Mobile IPv6 product is optional and may be deselected during the interactive swinstall

session. If you select the Mobile IPv6 product, you must also select the IPv6 product while

installing TOUR 2.2.

IMPORTANT The components PPPoE/v6 and Mobile IPv6 A.01.00 are not new in TOUR 2.2

but are supported since TOUR 2.0. For more information on these components,
