Transport Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR) 2.2 Release Notes

Transport functionality is typically delivered as part of the HP-UX operating system.

Transport Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR) is an additional, fully supported web release

that delivers transport functionality and other networking features independently of major

HP-UX releases. Later versions of TOUR completely supersede previous TOUR versions. All

features available in a TOUR release will be rolled into a later HP-UX release.

This document discusses different components and new feature in TOUR 2.2, which is

released on the HP-UX 11i v1 operating system. The TOUR 2.2 software contains the

products TOUR_PRODUCT, MobileIPv6, and IPV6AA. The TOUR_PRODUCT contains the

PPPoE/PPPv6 functionality.

NOTE You must install the IPv6 product (IPV6AA) on the system to use the

PPPoE/PPPv6 and the Mobile IPv6 functionality.

TOUR uses an overlay model to install new features. It overlays all the delivered ﬁles,

libraries, commands, and scripts in both user space and kernel space. TOUR 2.2 is available

from the HP Software Depot at http://www.software.hp.com (search for “TOUR”).
