Transport Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR) 2.0 Release Notes

Installing TOUR 2.0

Notice that the target selection speciﬁed in the swinstall example is “TOUR”, not

“TOUR2”,since the TOUR 2.0 product bundle name is “TOUR”. The product bundle

version reﬂects the version change from 1.0 to 2.0.

The Mobile IPv6 product is optional. If you do not want to install Mobile IPv6, use

interactive swinstall and deselect the Mobile IPv6 product.

The system reboots automatically if the swinstall execution completes without

errors.

NOTE To minimize the number of required reboots, you may want to combine patch

requirements (patch depot ﬁles) and TOUR 2.0 software (depot ﬁle) into one

combined depot using the swcopy utility. Refer to the swcopy(1M) man page for

more information.

Verifying the TOUR 2.0 Installation

Use the following steps after swinstall ﬁnishes installing TOUR 2.0 to verify that the

installation was successful:

Step 1. Examine the following log ﬁles for error messages:

• /var/adm/sw/swinstall.log

• /var/adm/sw/swagent.log

Step 2. Use the swlist -l bundle TOUR command.

If TOUR 2.0 installed successfully, the following messages is displayed:

TOUR A.02.00 Transport Optional Upgrade Release for B.11.11

Step 3. To verify that there were no errors during the TOUR 2.0 installation, run the

following command:

swverify TOUR

If TOUR 2.0 is successfully installed, the following message is displayed:

Verification succeeded

Removing (Un-installing) TOUR 2.0
