• Multihomed Host Limitation
On a host with multiple physical network interfaces, more than one interface should not
be configured with IPv6 addresses in the absence of a router that advertises prefixes. If
multiple physical interfaces are configured with IPv6 addresses, and if router
advertisement is not received on any interface, the host cannot identify the interface
through which it has to send packets. If packets are sent through an interface that is on a
different link than the destination node, the communication fails.
This configuration is neither recommended nor supported.
