Transport Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR) 1.0 Release Notes

Installation Information

ERROR: The Transport Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR) is already installed.

HP-UX cumulative ARPA Transport patches can NOT be removed because removing

them would corrupt TOUR. If you must remove this patch PHNE_28497, then first

remove TOUR.

NOTE If you attempt to install or remove a PPP patch, similar messages are

displayed.

TOUR 1.0 and IPSec Incompatibility

TOUR 1.0 is not compatible with any version of IPSec (products J4255AA or J4256AA). If you

try to install A.01.00 TOUR on a system that already has IPSec installed, the following error

message is displayed:

ERROR: An IPSec product (J4255AA or J4256AA) is already installed. This

version of Transport Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR) can NOT be installed

until IPSec has been removed.

You cannot install IPSec after installing TOUR A.01.00 on your system. Any attempt to

install IPSec fails, and the following error message is displayed:

ERROR: You must first install ARPA Transport 11.11 patch PHNE_27063 or

greater.

The preceding error message does not provide complete information to resolve the problem. To

use both IPSec and IPv6 functionality, you must install the initial IPv6 product, IPv6NCF11i,

released for HP-UX 11i. This is available on the Software Pack CD or from your HP

representative.
