Installation Information

Internet Services Product Information

The following IPv6-capable Internet Services products are included with HP-UX 11i IPv6

packaged with TOUR 1.0:

• inetd, Internet daemon

• telnet

• r* commands

• name and address resolution resolver routines

• inetd.sec over IPv6

The following Internet Services products have been IPv6-enhanced:

• WU-FTPD 2.6.1 (or later)

• Sendmail 8.11.1

• BIND 9.2.0

These IPv6-enhanced products are not included in TOUR 1.0. Instead, these products are

available as separate web releases from www.software.hp.com.

Download these web releases if you want to use FTP, Sendmail, or DNS server to handle IPv6

addresses.

Installation or Removal of Transport or PPP Patches

After installing TOUR 1.0, you cannot remove or install additional Transport patches. If you

need to add or remove a Transport patch, then you have to remove TOUR 1.0. Separate

patches for TOUR 1.0 (distinct from Transport patches) will be available, as needed.

If you attempt to install a Transport patch after installing TOUR 1.0, the following message is

displayed:

NOTE: The Transport Optional Upgrade Release (TOUR) is already installed.

HP-UX cumulative ARPA Transport patches can NOT be installed because

installing them would corrupt TOUR. TOUR has a separate support mechanism

(patches and new versions). Please use this for updates to TOUR. If you must

install this patch PHNE_28497, then first remove TOUR.

If you attempt to remove a Transport patch after installing TOUR 1.0, the following message

is displayed:
