Features and Enhancements in the IPv6NCF11i Bundle

The IPv6NCF11i enhancement bundle for HP-UX 11i v1 enables IPv6 and contains the

following features and enhancements:

• Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) Enhancements (PPPv6 and PPPoE)

• Router Advertisement Daemon

• HP-UX Mobile IPv6 A.01.00.02.02

NOTE The features and enhancements in this bundle apply to HP-UX 11i v1 only.

These features and enhancements are already part of the HP-UX 11i v2

September 2004 release.

HP-UX Mobile IPv6 A.01.00.02 and PPPoE/PPPv6 are selectable while

installing the IPv6NCF11i bundle

Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) Enhancements (PPPv6 and PPPoE)

The key features of PPPoE are as follows

• Supported over a cost-effective LAN technology, such as Ethernet

• Conforms to RFC 2516, "A Method for Transmitting PPP Over Ethernet (PPPoE)."
