Customizing the User Environment
Creating, Modifying, Copying, and Printing Login Scripts
Prerequisities
A 386 or later workstation and NetWare Administrator
The Write property to the object that will contain the login script
The object whose login script you will be working with must already exist
(Organization, Organizational Unit, Profile, or User Object)
Procedure
1 From the Windows Program Manager, click on the “NetWare Administrator”
icon.
2 Using the browser, select the object whose login script you want to copy.
For information about moving around in the browser and selecting objects,
choose “Help” from the menu bar.
3 From the “Object” menu, choose “Details.”
4 Choose the “Login Script” page.
5 In the login script text box, highlight the text you want to copy.
6 Press <Ctrl>+<Insert> to copy the highlighted text.
The highlighted text has been placed in clipboard memory and can be pasted
into another login script.
7 To save the login script and close the “Details” dialog box, choose “OK.”
8 Using the browser, select the object whose login script you want to paste the
copied text into.
9 From the “Object” menu, choose “Details.”
10 Choose the “Login Script” page.
11 In the login script text box, place the cursor where you want the copied text to
appear.
12 Press <Shift>+<Insert> to paste the copied text into the login script.
13 To save the login script and close the “Details” dialog box, choose “OK.”
Copying a Login Script Using NETADMIN
Use the following instructions to copy all or part of a login script and paste it
into another object’s login script.
