Compatibility Information and Installation Requirements

Software Requirements

The system must have standard HP-UX 11.00 core products, including Streams and

LAN/9000 software, installed on it.

Hardware Requirements

A5783A is supported on all HP-9000 servers and workstations with the PCI bus. A4930A is

supported on V-Class servers only.

OS Platform and Version Compatibility

HP-UX CORE B.11.00.

Other Requirements

PHNE_21217, or any patch that supersedes it, is required.

SAM patch PHCO_17792, or any patch that supersedes it, is required for conﬁguration

through SAM.

Disc Space Required for Installation

This product requires 700 K bytes in addition to the current disc space being utilized.

Install/System Up or Down

Software installation causes a system reboot.

Common Mistakes or Gotchas

• Install PHNE_21217, or any patch that supersedes it, before installing the software

product(s).

• Install PHCO_17792, or any patch that supersedes it, before attempting SAM

conﬁguration.
