PCI Commkit Release Notes

Compatibility and Installation Requirements

Software Requirements:

Filesets

The PCI Commkit Host Interface software product is provided in Software Distributor (SD)

format. It consists of four filesets:

• Z7155AA.DK4PCI.DKIT4-KRN

• Z7155AA.DK4PCI.DKIT4-RUN

• Z7155AA.DK4PCI.DKIT4-AUX

• Z7155AA.DK4PCI.DKIT4-MAN

The DKIT4-KRN fileset is dependent upon the following HP-UX filesets:

•OS-Core.CORE-KRN,B.11.00 or greater.%,a=HP-UX_B.11.00_32/64

•Streams.STREAMS-KRN,B.11.00 or greater.%,a=HP-UX_B.11.00_32/64

•Streams.TIO.STRTIO-KRN,B.11.00 or greater.%,a=HP-UX_B.11.00_32/64

The DKIT4-RUN and DKIT4-AUX filesets depend upon DKIT4-KRN. The DKIT4-MAN fileset

has no dependencies

Software Specification

The complete software specification is:

Z7155AA,r=B.11.00.00,a=HP-UX_B.11.00_32/64,v=HP.

Installing the Software and/or manpages

To install the PCI Commkit Host Interface Software, use the following commands:

swinstall -x autoreboot=true -s [software source] Z7155AA

Where [software source] is usually the device special file of the CD-ROM mount point

containing the software.

Note that the product has kernel components and that the swinstall procedure will modify the

/stand/system file, rebuild the kernel, and reboot the system.
