Error Messages

This section describes the error messages you may encounter while you setup and conﬁgure

the required products, and how to resolve them:

• When LDAP-UX Integration product version B.04.00 or later is not installed, you see the

following error on executing the chkey/newkey command with the -s option:

ERROR: /usr/lib/libnss_ldap.1 not found

To resolve the above error, install LDAP-UX Integration product version B.04.00 or later

on your client systems.

• When LDAP-UX Integration product version B.04.00 or later is not installed, you see the

following error on executing the chkey/newkey command without the -s option:

ERROR: Updating ldap publickey database

/usr/lib/libnss_ldap.1 not found

To resolve the above error, install LDAP-UX Integration product version B.04.00 or later

on your client systems.

• When an old version of libnss_ldap exists on the system, the following error messages

are displayed on executing the chkey/newkey command with the -s option:

The following symbols are missing in /usr/lib/libnss_ldap.1:

__ns_ldap_list

__ns_ldap_getAttr

__ns_ldap_getServiceAuthMethods

__ns_ldap_addAttr

__ns_ldap_repAttr

To resolve the above error, install LDAP-UX Integration product version B.04.00 or later

on your client systems.

• When an old version of libnss_ldap exists on the system, the following error messages
