Automating Startup on HP-UX
The index number corresponds to the Datakit group which is identified by a
server. If there is one interface per group, then the index also corresponds to
the interface number. If you have multiple servers for each interface, the
index number is not always the same as the interface number.
The lines in the entry are explained in Table 4-1.
Table 4-1 Entries in the dkit Configuration File
Parameter Description
DKINTERFACE[]
Indicates which CommKit interface board this entry
describes. The default is 0.
START_DKSERVER[]
Indicates whether to start the CommKit server
daemon; 1 is true, 0 is false.
START_LISTENER[]
Indicates whether to start the CommKit listener; 1 is
true, 0 is false.
DKSRVNAME[x]
Indicates the CommKit server name for CommKit
board x. The server name must agree with the address
entered in the data switch database. The default value
is hostname for CommKit interface board 0,
hostname1 for board 1, hostname2 for board 2, and
so on. You cannot use the shell syntax for hostname,
because the script is sourced before hostname is
defined.
DKSRVCHAN[]
Defines the CommKit server channel. Required only
if you define multiple groups on the CommKit
interface board. Usually has a default value.
DKSRVLOG[]
Defines the CommKit server log filename for the
board. If null, the default name /var/opt/dk//log/
dksrvlog is used.
DKSRVTAB[] Defines the CommKit srvtab file name for the board.
If null, the default name /etc/opt/dk/srvtab is used.
srvtab can be a file or a directory of srvtab files.
DKUIDTAB[] Defines the CommKit uidtab filename for the board.
If null, the default name /etc/opt/dk/dkuidtab is used.
