Software Specification
The complete software specification is:
Z7126A,r=B.11.11.02,a=HP-UX_B.11.11_800,v=HP.
Installing the Software and/or manpages
The NIO Commkit Host Interface software can be installed using the command:
swinstall -x autoreboot=true -s [software source] Z7126A
Where [software source] is usually the device special file of the DDS tape or the CD-ROM
mount point containing the software.
Note that the product has kernel components and the swinstall procedure will modify the
/stand/system file, rebuild the kernel and reboot the system. It will also run the scripts to
configure the product. However, if errors are generated during configuration after boot,
product configuration can be rerun as a separate command:
swconfig Z7126A

Users wanting to install only the man pages for the NIO Commkit Host Interface product can
install the man pages using the command:
swinstall -s [software source] Z7126A.DK4NIO.DKIT4-MAN
Hardware Requirements:
• The NIO Commkit Host Interface product runs only on HP computers having an NIO
backplane.
• The NIO Commkit Host Interface product includes one NIO Datakit interface, part
number 93302-60010. Up to eight (8) Datakit cards may be installed in the computer's
card cage. Additional interfaces may be ordered using product number Z7127A.
Operating System Platform Requirements:
• The release B.11.11.02 of the Z7126A product requires HP-UX 11.11.
Disk Space and Memory Requirements:
• Z7126A requires 3.5 MB of disk space.
