Stopping the Route Optimization Daemon (miprod)
There are two ways to stop miprod:
• Automatically, at system shutdown time. The HP-UX Mobile IPv4 product installs a
script that the system executes at system shutdown time. You do not have to
configure anything to use this feature.
• Manually, using the mipadmin utility
Manually Stopping miprod Using mipadmin
Use the following mipadmin command to manually stop miprod:
mipadmin -stop
The mipadmin utility will ask you to confirm that you want to stop the daemon:
mipadmin> -stop
Stop miprod? (yes)
Press RETURN or type yes to stop the daemon.
