Software Product Numbers within swinstall
When you install HyperFabric software with swinstall, select HyprFabrc-00 as the product
number for HP-UX 11i v1.
Using OLAR
For HP-UX 11i v1, if you want to use OLAR, you might need to update the system firmware on
your HP 9000 system. See the Readme Before Installing or Updating to HP-UX 11i v1
provided with your 11i v1 OE.
Updating the Software from an Older Version
If you have an older version of the HyperFabric software, you can update it by installing this
version (B.11.11.04.02) over the old one. You do not have to un-install the old version first,
unless you are updating from version B.11.00.11 to B.11.11.04.02 (see “Known Problems and
Workarounds” on page 7).
NOTE To make use of the Transparent Local Failover feature available in this version,
you need to configure the HF2 adapters as card pairs using the clic_init
command or SAM. For more information, see the HyperFabric Administrator’s
Guide (Part Number: B6257-90039).
Supported Configuration
Customers using HMP over HyperFabric must update to B.11.11.04.02, delivered as a Web
release on http://www.software.hp.com, on all nodes in the cluster.
Customers using TCP/UDP/IP over HyperFabric must update to the latest GR patch. HP
recommends that TCP/UDP/IP customers do not update to B.11.11.04.02.
Hardware Requirements
You must have one or more appropriate HyperFabric adapters installed in the HP 9000
system. Table 1-2 lists the supported adapter configurations for version B.11.11.04.02 of the
HyperFabric software.
