Undefining Keystrokes
You can remove a keystroke from a 3270 function, so that it can no longer
be used to represent that function. If you remove the only keystroke
mapped to a 3270 function, you will no longer be able to use the function.
To undefine a keystroke, use the following procedure:
Step 1. In the View and Define Key Definitions dialog box, select the keystroke
you want to undefine from the Function/Keystroke list box. If multiple
keystrokes are associated with the same function, be sure to select the
correct keystroke.
Step 2. Choose <Undefine>. A Warning message box as shown in Figure 6-22,
“Warning Message Box for Undefining a Keystroke,” is displayed.
If you are removing the only keystroke mapped to a 3270 function the
message reads You are about to undefine functionname instead
of You are about to remove the selected definition for
functionname.
Step 3. Choose <OK> to undefine the key, or <Cancel> to retain the definition.
This removes the Undefine Warning box. The View and Define Key
Definitions dialog box remains. If you removed the only definition of a
function, Undefined appears in the Keystroke column.
