Transferring Files
Preparing to Transfer Files
Establishing Communications
Before starting to transfer files, you need to start the TN3270 emulation
program, enable at least one session, and log on to the host. (For more
information, see Chapter 3, “Getting Started with 3270 Emulation.”)
You can then determine whether you are ready to begin transferring files
by accessing the File Transfer dialog box. Information in this box keeps
you informed about the status of your file transfer activity.
Accessing the File Transfer Dialog Box
You can access the File Transfer dialog box in one of the following ways:
• From the Control menu, choose File Transfer.
• From an active 3270 session press FILE XFR (default keystroke Ctrl +
F).
The dialog box shown in Figure 5-1, “File Transfer Dialog Box,” is
displayed.
