What’s In this Version?
HP FTAM/9000 version E.07.00 on HP-UX 11.11 contains new features and
functionalities.
Benefits
Upgrading to FTAM/9000 version E.07.00 will provide the following
benefits/support :-
1. Compatible with dynamic restart feature of OTS.
2. Support for 11.11 FTAM 64-bit API library.
3. Support for FTAM API tracing using environment variable.
Features
HP FTAM/9000 version E.07.00 provides the following features:
1. Compatible with dynamic restart feature of OTS stack.
OTS on 11.11 supports dynamic restart, i.e., the stack can be stopped and
restarted without requiring a system reboot. The FTAM error and log messages
have been changed to accomodate this. For more information on the dynamic
restart feature of OTS, refer to the OTS release notes for 11i (part number
32070-90049).
2. Support for 64 bit FTAM API libraries.
64-bit applications using 64-bit versions of libmap.sl[a] or libmapftam.sl[a]
FTAM API library, can now be compiled and run. The compilation can be done
on a 32-bit or 64-bit system using 64-bit compilation option of C-compiler.
These compiled applications can then be run on a 64-bit system. No changes
need to be made to applications to compile in 64-bit mode or for execution on
a 64-bit system.
As an example any of the 64-bit FTAM API demos available in
’
/opt/ftam/demos
’ can be built using the
’/opt/ftam/demos/Makefile_64’ makefile.
