Installation and Verification
This section provides information on installing Enhanced AutoFS and
verifying the installation.
Installing Enhanced AutoFS
To install the Enhanced AutoFS product on your system, perform the
following steps:
1. Download the software depot file to a directory, for example,
/tmp/ENHAUTO_B.11.11.0503.1_HP-UX_B.11.11_32+64.depot
2. Run the following command to install Enhanced AutoFS product:
swinstall -x autoreboot=true -s \
/tmp/ENHAUTO_B.11.11.0503.1_HP-UX_B.11.11_32+64.depot
The system reboots automatically if the swinstall execution completes
without any errors.
Verifying Your Enhanced AutoFS Installation
To verify the Enhanced AutoFS product installation as follows:
• Run the following command to verify that the Enhanced AutoFS
product is successfully installed:
swlist -l bundle ENHAUTO
If Enhanced AutoFS is successfully installed, the following message
appears:
ENHAUTO B.11.11.0503.1 Enhanced AutoFS, March 2005
• Run the following command to verify that there were no errors
during the Enhanced AutoFS B.11.11.0503.1 installation:
swverify ENHAUTO
If Enhanced AutoFS is successfully installed without any errors, the
following message appears:
Verification succeeded
